Youth Department - Happy Hill Baptist Church

The Youth Department welcomes all Jr. High and High School teens. We have a vibrant youth department which is centerally involved in our church and its ministries, as well as enjoying our own monthly activites.

Dan & Zina Stanfield

Youth Leaders Dan and Zina have both attended Tyndale Bible Institute & Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth. Dan has earned his Diploma of Advanced Biblical Studies. Zina's father was a Southern Baptist Minster and Dan was called to the ministry as a high school senior. Dan & Zina have been continuously involved in church ministry since they were youth! Dan's web site, BibleSanity.org is designed to introduce the Bible and basic doctrines to youth and new believers. Also available here are each week's lessons and handouts for the Youth class.

Our current Bible study is an in-depth study of the Book of Luke, including parallel passages in the other Gospels. Luke's gospel is written as a chronological account of the Life of Christ from His birth to His resurrection. We will probably be in Luke until the end of the Summer - give or take... Afterwards, we're continuing straight on into the Book of Acts, in which Luke continues his account with what happened next!

Recent activities have included a day at Putt-Putt^(r) and Wall climbing at Dyno-Rock in Arlington. Plans include a Summer Camp and a puppet ministry supporting Vacation Bible School (VBS).

• April 26, Park picnic - bicyling, frizbee, lunch - We'll follow back to Dan & Zina's to set up the puppet stage and start working with all that...

• May - Promotional & VBS Puppet scripting, decorating, development & practices - (maybe some go-karts?)

• June 10-15 - Happy Hill Baptist Church Vacation Bible School - Youth will be doing puppets each day, and will be helping in other ways as well.

• July - Youth Camp (Details pending)
