Happy Hill Baptist Church

Here you will find a body of believers committed to Christ, to each other, and to reaching out to our community with love and with the gospel of Jesus!

Happy Hill Baptist Church is a conservative Baptist church in Northeastern Johnson County, TX. We are supporting members of the Southern Baptist Convention, including The General Baptist Convention of Texas, and the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. Our Statement of Faith is the Baptist Faith & Message published by the convention.

A Loving Church: You won't find a more loving and caring church! You may be suprised by all the handshakes and hugs, but the love this church body has for each other goes far deeper than that - We're a true church family.

A Church of Deep Faith: At Happy Hill Baptist Church, our faith is our lifestyle. Our faith is placed squarely on our Lord Jesus Christ, who we trust for our salvation. Membership is based on personal salvation through faith alone, and is witnessed by the public testimony of baptism.

A Praying Church: At Happy Hill, we understand the importance of prayer. Through Christ, the believer has access to the throne of God, and 1 Thessalonians 5:17 teaches us to pray without ceasing. You will find that prayer is a central part of our worship, our classes, and our services. Our church also operates a prayer chain and has weekly prayer meetings on Tuesday nights.

A Bible Believing Church: The Bible is the foundation for all our beliefs and practices, the source for all we know of our Lord and His commands and teachings. We take the Bible seriously, interpret it literally, and teach it incessantly.

A Church which Worships God: Happy Hill favors traditional hymns and music, and also enjoys a natural mix of contemporary songs and choruses. At Happy Hill, you will find a body of believers who worship Christ with their lives.

An Evangelistic Church: Our church is busy about the work of the Great Comission. We address evangelism specifically and continuously, both by presenting the gospel in our services and classes, and also by special events throughout the year.

The Great Comission: “All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go you therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatever I have commanded you: and, see, I am with you always, even to the end of the world.
