Groups and Activities

Charlie Wells

This is a monthly evening meeting which meets on the Second Thursday of each month at 6:30 pm.

The purpose of Men's Ambassadors for Christ is men fellowshipping together to become better men.

MAC is available to all men, including visitors. A typical MAC fellowship includes a meal prepared by one of the men (reimbursable), and a devotional presentation by one of the men - both of these are rotated around to the various MAC members.

This is a monthly Saturday morning meeting which meets on the third Saturday of each month at 10:00 am. It is a time of prayer, study, and fellowship.

Women In Touch means:

• In Touch with God
• In Touch with the community and the world
• In Touch with each other

Our current Bible Study is the Book of John.

We help the Habitat for Humanity by helping to furnish new kitchens. We also take birthday cakes to the Alvarado Nursing Home resisdents every three months, and at Christmas we buy different items for them.

The second Thursday of each month we have lunch for the seniors and anyone who wants to come. We begin at 12:00 pm (a covered dish is welcomed), after luch we visit and we play dominos or chicken foot.

We are trying to reach the community any way we can.

Moniene Wells

The "Hug-A-Bunch" is a group of women who meet each Tuesday at 10:00 am in the Fellowship Hall. The purpose of this group is threefold:

1. Fellowship among attendees, both church memebers and visitors
2. Multi-crafting, limited only by our imagination
3. Supporting nursing home residents, families in the community, special requests for church projects, etc.

This group is self-supporting, furnishing its own supplies and freely giving time, work, and love for the benefit and enjoyment of the needy.

The Youth department meets on Sunday mornings and has monthly fellowship activities, as well as their involvement in Boy Scouts and Chess listed below. The Youth are heading up a Missions Awareness program this Spring, and a puppet ministry.

Happy Hill Baptist church is proud to sponsor Boy Scout Troop 210, which meets on Monday nights at 7:00pm.

Our Boy Scout troop is not large, but is very active. We are always looking for interested boys (ages 11-18) and adult workers!

Dan & Zina Stanfield

This is a monthly Sunday afternoon fellowship for all ages. We meet on the first Sunday of each month for lunch and chess right after the morning service (1-3pm).

We have some strong players as well as beginners and start play with a brief instructional period. Dan's chess web site is FiniteChess.com
